1. Germany reported 351 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On April 27, Germany reported 351 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Lower Saxony and 7 other locations, resulting in 508 wild birds and backyard poultry infected, 439 deaths, and 209 culled.

 

2. Austria reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On April 27 and 28, Austria reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Vienna State, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

 

3. France reported 3 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry

On April 27 and 30, France reported 3 outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Yvelines and 4 other locations, resulting in 7 wild birds and 270 poultry infected and died.

 

4. Norway reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On April 27 and 30, Norway reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in the Exclusive Economic Zone and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

 

5. Poland reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds and 12 in poultry

On April 28 and 29, Poland reported 1 outbreak in wild birds and 12 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Greater Poland Voivodeship and 5 other locations, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died, and 259,000 poultry infected, 26,000 deaths, and 19,000 culled.

 

6. Netherlands reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On April 30, the Netherlands reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Groningen Province and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

 

7. Denmark reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On April 30, Denmark reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Køge Municipality and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

 

8. Italy reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds

On April 30, Italy reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.

 

9. Canada reported 3 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in poultry

On April 27 and 30, Canada reported 3 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in Saskatchewan, resulting in 67 poultry infected and died.

 

10. Chile reported 17 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On April 28, Chile reported 17 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Maule Region and 2 other locations, resulting in 293 wild birds and backyard poultry infected, 258 deaths, and 828 culled.

On April 30, South Korea reported 14 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Gangwon Province and 4 other locations, resulting in 16 wild birds infected and died.

On April 28, South Korea reported 4 outbreaks of H5N9 HPAI in wild birds in South Chungcheong Province and South Jeolla Province, resulting in 4 wild birds infected and died.

 

14. Nepal reported 7 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in poultry

On April 27, Nepal reported 7 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in Province No. 1 and one other location, resulting in 110,000 poultry infected and died, and 261,000 culled.

On April 27 and 30, Romania reported 6 outbreaks of rabies in Iași County and 3 other locations, resulting in 2 cattle and 6 domestic dogs infected and died.

 

4. Armenia reported 3 rabies outbreaks

On April 27 and 29, Armenia reported 3 outbreaks of rabies in Kotayk Province and 2 other locations, resulting in 3 domestic dogs infected and died.

On April 28 and 30, Moldova reported 2 outbreaks of rabies in Călărași District and one other location, resulting in 2 domestic dogs infected and died.

On April 27, Serbia reported 2 outbreaks in wild boar and 5 in domestic pigs of African swine fever (ASF) in Srem District and one other location, resulting in 4 wild boar infected and died, and among domestic pigs, 14 infected, 11 deaths, and 44 culled.

 

2. Italy reported 34 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On April 27, Italy reported 34 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Tuscany and one other region, resulting in 34 wild boar infected and died.

 

3. Estonia reported 2 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On April 27 and 29, Estonia reported 2 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Rapla County and one other location, resulting in 6 wild boar infected and died.

 

4. Poland reported 85 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On April 27 and 29, Poland reported 85 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Podlaskie Voivodeship and 7 other locations, resulting in 227 wild boar infected and died.

On April 29, Lithuania reported 24 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Tauragė County and 2 other locations, resulting in 82 wild boar infected and died.

On April 30, Romania reported 5 outbreaks in wild boar and 3 in domestic pigs of ASF in Mureș County and 2 other locations, resulting in 8 wild boar infected and died, and among domestic pigs, 118 infected, 77 deaths, and 6,969 culled.

 

10. Bhutan reported 1 ASF outbreak in domestic pigs

On April 27, Bhutan reported 1 outbreak of ASF in domestic pigs in Samdrup Jongkhar District, resulting in 3 domestic pigs infected and died.
